"My skepticism was no longer protecting me from bad ideas.

It was protecting my ego."

Whew, I feel called out! I'm a Millennial, but I can be very stubborn when it comes to adopting something new because I feel like my way has worked, and what if this new way doesn't? Then I try the thing and it works better than I expected!

That’s the tell.

When skepticism isn’t testing ideas anymore, it’s guarding identity.

Trying the thing exposes that fast.

“Clarity is not agreeing with everything new. It is noticing when resistance comes from fear, not wisdom.”

Uh-huh. Totally agree. Thank you for that, but also the whole piece!
